Or
Propellerhead Reason
A lot of beat producers ask themselves everyday "Which program should I use to make hot beats?". They then ask around across the internet in search for the answer on where they can begin to make moves into the music industry. After asking friends and after searching through countless forums for the answer, they just seem to get mixed feedback. Everyone has their own view on each product since they have been using it for sometime. This is where the answer is impossible to get in the end.
I'm Sound Mechanic a beat producer and I've been making beats for about five years now. Upon entering into the beat making world I had the same thought many have and are going through. That thought was either to use FL Studio or Reason. Many people have stated that FL has greater advantages over Reason and is easier to use. I've also heard others mention that Reason is more stable and more professional. There are many differences with both programs but the main question is "Will either of these programs help me create hot beats?".
I've used both programs for a decent amount of time to the point I became comfortable using them. I must mention that all features both programs contain I was not able to get around to. But I can mention that I've created some worthy beats with both programs. In all honesty I felt it really doesn't matter which program is better. One may be advanced and the other may be more simple. Or one may be compatible with something such as VSTIs and the other contains Refills. But in the end it's what your able to work with to create these beats.
You just have to be creative and feel comfortable on the program of choice. It may take time to learn that particular program but in all the Internet holds many tutorial videos and helpful resources. The best way to go about is to even download the demo versions of these two programs and try them out and get an idea what power they hold. But in the end, me as a Producer, I feel it's not what each program can do, but rather how much skill the Producer has that can create these beats. If I can sell beats using both programs, I'm sure you can as well. It takes practice and patience but in the end the reward can only be good if done right.
